Consulting and outsourcing giant Accenture is set to raise Australian revenue by 23 per cent to $650 million this year on the back of substantial projects with large outfits like Telstra and the Australian Taxation Office.

Less than a dozen clients make up the bulk of Accenture's business. Telstra and the ATO are the leaders, with both the National Australia Bank and Macquarie Bank recently increasing the size of their involvement with Accenture.

Accenture's only serious rival in these areas is IBM, but managing director Doug Snedded sees no real threat, saying that if the company was doing what it did best, 'the future will look after itself.'
