KPMG plan Expansion in Far East

KPMG is expanding business operation in Hong Kong and China. It plans to double the number of recruitments in the next few years.

KPMG has just appointed 51 partners in Hong Kong and China on 1 July 2007. The new assignment mainly focuses on auditing, taxation and consulting services. Following the move, KPMG plans to add more headcounts and raise the number of employees in Hong Kong and China to 10,000 in the next four to five years. KPMG will set up one more training centre in Guangzhou, after opening the ones in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

In 2007, KPMG targets to recruit 7,000 fresh graduates and 500 professionals, giving it total headcount of 7,000 employees. KPMG has always adopted a localization strategy where local professionals will be trained and promoted.
