Capgemini and Unilever sign agreement

French IT consultancy and services company Capgemini (CAP.FR) said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with consumer goods producer Unilever Plc (UL) to acquire and manage Unilever's financial shared service centers in Santiago, Chile, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The integration and management of the centers will begin in early May, Capgemini said.
In addition, Capgemini and Unilever will enter into a seven-year agreement to deliver a full range of business process outsourcing, or BPO, financial shared services to Unilever's BPO in Latin America, including specific transactional tax services for Unilever Brazil.
Capgemini did not provide any financial details.
