Atos Origin shares suspended pending Statement

Shares in Atos Origin were suspended at the company's request on Friday, pending a statement from the French IT services group, Bourse operator Euronext said.
The company said it would publish a statement on Monday before the market opens. Atos, due to publish first-quarter sales on Tuesday, said in mid-March it had received a takeover approach but no formal bid had been made.
In April, sources familiar with the situation had said private equity firm Permira working with Centaurus, PAI Partners and Silver Lake were interested suitors. The share suspension comes after Capgemini said last month it regretted the boardroom leak of a reported decision by Capgemini not to try to buy its domestic rival.
