Accenture bid on Maxamine and Memetrics

Bermuda-based consulting firm Accenture Ltd. said Wednesday it acquired Memetrics Holdings Pty Ltd. and agreed to acquire Maxamine Inc., expanding its digital marketing capabilities.
Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
The privately held companies provide testing and optimization services to help other companies improve the marketing effectiveness and financial returns from their Web sites and other digital marketing investments, Accenture said.
Both Memetrics and Maxamine have headquarters in California and operations in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Employees at the two companies will be offered jobs with Accenture's marketing sciences practice. And their top executives will be offered positions as senior executives within the marketing sciences practice.
The Memetrics acquisition closed Dec. 31, and the Maxamine acquisition is expected to close within 30 days.
Accenture shares fell 63 cents to $32.67 in morning trading.
